Fourier’s Algorithm Update

connect_icut

connect_icut

The response to Fourier’s Algorithm by connect_icut has already far exceeded expectations (430 downloads, at the time of writing). Thanks to everyone who’s helped spread the word about this album, especially “Grim” Jim Grimmer, The Mighty Woebot and Da Blissblogga. Weirdly, a good deal of the album’s downloads have actually come via the blog of comic book writer Warren Ellis.

If all goes according to plan, connect_icut will be playing live in Vancouver during April, May and June. Watch this space for more details. In the meantime, if you haven’t already, why not listen to “Phil Slows the Dave Down”, then download the whole album for free from the CSAF website? It’s “stonking”, according to Woebot.

New My Bloody Valentine Songs!!!

My Bloody Valentine - The Movie

My Bloody Valentine - The Movie

APRIL FOOL!

Sorry but there’s been a spate of obviously phoney MBV rarities showing up online recently and this seemed like a good opportunity to post a few of them for your perusal. For what it’s worth, Bubblegum Cage III still considers recently-leaked demos like “Kevin Song” to be the genuine article. The following tracks, on the other hand… not so much:

“Touched (Extended Version)”
Astonishingly cack-handed re-edit of Colm’s classic Loveless instrumental.

“Explosive”
The original fake MBV demo. Not terribly convincing.

“Untitled”
Actually a reasonably good MBV pastiche but transparently not the real thing.
